CHEVALIQ wraps around the base of the tail (the tail dock) where the coccygeal artery runs close to the surface. The dual-module design places the optical PPG sensor against the underside for cardiovascular readings, while the motion module on top captures stride and posture data. Placement takes under 30 seconds.
The strap is made of medical-grade silicone weighing under 60 grams total. It distributes pressure across the entire tail dock with no pinch points. In our trials, horses showed no behavioral signs of irritation after the first day of acclimation.
Because CHEVALIQ mounts on the tail rather than under the saddle or on the chest, it avoids the regions most commonly affected by melanomas in grey horses. The strap is also adjustable to avoid any specific area on request.
